It is fast becoming a question of whether India can register a win on the tour
or not, let alone winning a series. Australia have been emphatic in all
departments of the game and even a change of formats did not help the battered
Indian side.
Friday presents yet another opportunity for India to claw back and save
themselves some grace in the second T20 at MCG Melbourne.

India's winless tour continued on Wednesday as they succumbed to a 31-run defeat
in the first T20. Signs of danger loom ahead for India as their bowlers failed
to get a real hold on the Australian batting, allowing them to amass 171 runs
in the process.
The young attack rarely posed any threat with only Rahul Sharma causing
any trouble. The batsmen need to bat responsibly, unlike their madness phase
that saw them lose three crucial wickets for six runs in the space of 11 balls,
and consequently losing track of the chase.
Australia, on the other hand, seem to be not doing a thing wrong. Under their
new captain, they scored a convincing win and the newly-blooded players lived
up to the expectations as well. Matthew Wade's aggressive 72 showed glimpses
of the firepower that Adam Gilchrist used to provide at the top of the
order.
In addition, David Hussey has looked good and is keen to not miss a
chance with either bat or ball as the ICC World T20 approaches closer. Dan Christian is another young star who looked impressive as Australia aim to
build a strong pool of T20 players. The string of victories should boost the
morale of the team ahead of the triangular series as well.
The match will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where the home side has
won all its matches in the shortest format of the game. The match will start at
08.35 GMT.
It will test the Indians given that the boundaries are long and that will mean
that the Indian batsmen will need to get going with the running between the wickets
more than trying to go for the big ones.
