India take on Australia in the fourth ODI of the CB series at the Adelaide Oval
in Adelaide. At the end of the first round of the matches, India have won
one of their two games, while Australia have two wins out of two, which means
that Sri Lanka have yet to open their account so far.
This is an important game for the Indians in the sense that they have been struggling
for batting form in the series and on the tour. They will hope that they can get
going in Adelaide, where the pitch will be much better to bat on and the side
will have a better chance of putting up a good total.

Sri Lanka's performance against Australia on Friday would have awakened
the Indians to the chance that things could change for them if they can get
a better batting performance in the match.
Australia could look to make one change to their lineup at least. They have
rested Michael Hussey from their playing 11 and that will mean that one
of the following - Peter Forrest or Mitchell Marsh could play. Forrest
for Hussey will be a like for like replacement but given India's poor play against
pace, Marsh's all round skills will come in handy.
There could be another option for the Aussie side - they could put in Marsh in
place of one of the pace bowlers who might be given a break from the game.
India could go into the side with the same side that beat Sri Lanka as well
but if Dhoni is to be believed then one of Sehwag, Gambhir or Tendulkar could
sit out. In the Sri Lanka game it was Gambhir who had made way for Sehwag -
here there is a good chance that Gambhir may be back and one of the other two
could sit out. The reason for this is that Rohit Sharma needs to get
a go.
Australia will go into the game as favourites to win the game but India should
come up hard against them.
