Australia will take on Kenya in the 31st game of the Cricket World Cup
at the M Chinnaswamy in Bangalore. The game will be played on Sunday, March
13, which will also mean that this is the second game for the day and will be
a day-night encounter.
Australia have been fantastic in this tournament. They have played three games
in the tournament, won two and the third game was abandoned. Apart from that,
the two wins against Zimbabwe and New Zealand have been very convincing, which
should mean that Kenya will be a cakewalk.

And there are many reasons for one to believe so. For one, Kenya is
an Associate country without too much experience in getting the better of the
bigger oppositions. However, more importantly, it is about the way Kenya have
played in the World Cup so far. They have been appalling with their batting
and only marginally better in the bowling department, making it a difficult
time for them.
Kenya lost to New Zealand in the first game after being bowled out for 69.
This was followed by a loss at the hands of Pakistan by another huge margin
and then a collapse off the bowling of Lasith Malinga against Sri Lanka.
What would have made it a worse World Cup for the Kenyans is that they have
even lost to the Canada side, another of the minnows and that would make it
tough for them.
This should mean that the side will look for some improved performances at best
- expecting a win against the mighty Australian side will be expecting a bit too
much in the game.
Australia have been excellent so far. Their bowling has functioned really
well as a unit an their strategy of going in with three ultra-quick pace bowlers
has worked well so far. The three pace bowling strategy has meant that the spinners
have not yet come under any threat in the competition and that will mean that
it is difficult to see them come under any stress even in this game against
Kenya.
On the other hand, Australia will look to ensure that the squad gets its chances
and there is a good chance that Michael Hussey will be brought into the middle
order for the game. this will mean that he could replace one of David Hussey
or Cameron White in the playing eleven given the manne in which both have played.
