Royal Challengers Bangalore have proven what they are capable of in the last IPL.
They became the runner-up of the very competitive tournament. They are extremely
good both in batting and bowling. But it was their batting that stole the show
for them.
No doubt, power-house Chris Gayle is the main pillar of their batting line up.
He has shown the world his explosiveness IPL 4 scoring 608 runs in only 12 matches
taking RCB single-handedly to the final.
His opening partner Tilakaratne Dilshan is another hard hitter of the cricket
ball. If one of these two gets going the match will be out of hand from any team
in the world.
Their wicket-keeper South African AB de Villiers is an extra asset for them.
Other batsmen like Virat Kohli, Saurabah Tiwary, and Mayank Aggarwal
also could be instrumental for them.
Missing strike bowler Zaheer Khan will be a big loss for them but spin
wizard Skipper Daniel Vettori will surely make very good impact once again.
If Dirk Nannes gets the chance to bowl his extra speed might cause a batsman
into a lot of trouble.
On the other hand, Chevrolet Warriors might seem a weaker team on paper than RCB
but they did become the runners up of the last time.
They have got very good spin attack like Nicky Boje and Skipper Johan Botha who
can be very effective in Indian track. Their bowling attack starts with two destructive
pacers Wayne Parnell and Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
South African legendary bowler Makhaya Ntini might not be as sharp as before but
having an experienced bowler like him is a great advantage for any team.
Their batting will be mostly depended on Ashwell Prince. In fact almost all
of them can bat. Youngster Collin Ingram, Mark Boucher, Nicky Boje, Johan
Botha, Justin Kreusch, Kelly Smuts all can bat which is a big advantage for
them.
Both teams are eligible contenders for the title but to achieve that pride they
will surely want to start the tournament with a win so that they get a momentum
and utilize it as much as possible.
RCB will go to the field as a favourite but dependence on Chris Gayle
might cause a great problem for them once again. Warriors might prove themselves
the real Warriors.
