The Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against the Kings XI Punjab in
what will be the 47th game of the Indian Premier league this season. Bangalore
will look to ensure that they can get going after the break that they had while
the Kings XI Punjab will look to ensure that they can get try and get going
to their winning ways after having lost some matches in a row.
Bangalore has been bolstered by the presence of Chris Gayle and that has, in turn,
helped the side in ensuring that they have set the ball rolling. After having
won the first game, the Royal Challengers Bangalore had lost three games in a
row before they finally had Gayle smashing his way to a century and winning the
game for them.

This meant that the Bangalore side was able to breathe free again, and with Virat
Kohli coming good in the last two games, it was something of a good momentum building
up.
However, the momentum was stalled for Bangalore by the turn of not having games
in the last one week and that means that the side could have to start afresh.
This will not be a problem for someone like Gayle, who had scored a century after
not having lifted the bat for a month after the World Cup but it will find its
affect on the bowlers, who could end up losing their rhythm.
Punjab have been a bit of an up and down side. They lost their first game, won
three and now have lost three in a row. The reason for this is that they do not
have the batsmen who can get the runs in the middle of the innings. Adam Gilchrist's
form is a bit of an issue but then, the rest of the side has also not given them
anything to cheer about with Dinesh Karthik and David Hussey looking out of sorts.
If Bangalore can try and look to make things happen with the ball, it would
augur well for them given the way that they have gone about their business.
Zaheer Khan is showing signs of coming back into form though it will
be interesting to see how they go about their business in case he gets hit for
runs as well.
Punjab will need to get going with the ball too, Praveen Kumar and Ryan
Harris need to find the peak of their form for the side to have a chance.
