The 35th game of the Indian Premier League will see the Royal Challengers
Bangalore take on the Pune Warriors India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in
Bangalore. This will be a home game for the Royal Challengers as they look to
ensure that they can take advantage of the tide that is going for them and against
the Warriors.

The reason why I say this is because the Royal Challengers had won their first
game and then went on to not win another game for the next four. This was followed
by a string of a couple of wins thanks to the presence of Chris Gayle.
The side looks much more rejuvenated and hence will need to get going with another
win to make it four wins and one abandoned game - nine points.
On the other hand, the Pune Warriors will look to stall their series of
losses. They have batted badly and after starting off well to win two games in
two, they have lost four in a row to go down in a jiffy.
Now they have four points from six games and another loss will mean that they
will need to win at least six out of their remaining seven games to have a chance
of making it through to the next round. Quite clearly, that may be a difficult
proposition to achieve and hence, it will be difficult for them to be able to
overcome the issue.
The batting needs to fire and fire hard for the Pune Warriors. They have, on paper,
one of the best batting in the tournament, but the problem is that they have not
been able to o much with it. This has meant that the side has lost quick wickets
at the top and the likes of Uthappa and Yuvraj have only managed to do the resurrection
job without being able to play their natural game.
Manish Pandey needs to get going with the runs, so should the likes of
Mithun Manhas and Mohnish Mishra, all of whom have been struggling to get a move
on in the tournament.
On the other hand, the introduction of Gayle has almost meant that the side has
been given a new lease of life. T Dilshan has been struggling with his form but
clearly, Gayle isn't and in the last game even Kohli showed what he can do. There
is a good chance that Dilshan will be given the axe and a foreign pace bowler
will be selected for this game.
