The recent developments in Pakistan have led various
cricketing nations across the globe to boycott the country at large. An appropriate
example of this is the fact that Australia has cancelled their tour of
Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board, in the wake of such events has organized
another cricketing tour. Bangladesh will now tour Pakistan instead of the Australians.
The Bangladesh team is to play 5 one day international games in Pakistan. The
Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule for the upcoming one
day series between Bangladesh and Pakistan. The Bangladesh team is to play

a recent match, they thrashed Ireland for 293 runs in their regulation 50 overs.
Dave Whatmore, the former coach of Bangladesh is to be credited with
this resurgence of cricket in Bangladesh. There are various fresh and upcoming
talents in the country and all of them look promising. Tamim Iqbal, a left handed
batsman, has been the find of the year for the Bangladesh Cricket team. The
batsman has scored consistently over the past couple of months and is expected
to go a long way on the cricketing turf.
The Pakistan team however are no minnows and are known for their genuine pace
attack. The batting line up also looks stronger and the void that was created
by the retirement of Inzamam Ul-Haq seems to have been removed for now. The
series should be exciting to watch. It would be interesting to see how the famed
bowling line up of Pakistan faces up to the challenge that is posed by the new
and very talented Bangladesh side.
