The second ODI between Bangladesh and England will be played at
Dhaka on Tuesday and the hosts will look to win this one to make the third game
a meaningful encounter.
The Bangladeshis have gone in with a slightly newish looking line-up and the
reason for that is probably two-fold. For one, the Bangladeshis are playing
at home, an whatever experiment they can do, would probably be under home conditions
and hence make it easier for the new guys. Suhrawadi Shuvo is one of the new
guys making his way into the squad, and like many of his predecessors, he is
a left-arm orthodox spin bowler who would be looking to make an impression.

even when he has the starts, he has been dismissed early. The coach had been
critical of the batsman, and had gone up to the extent of saying that the only
reason why the batsman was still in the side was because there was nobody worthwhile
to replace. However, now, the Bangladeshi side has finally managed to take the
decision and will need the rest of the batsmen to play well to make the rest
of the games count.
Luckily for them, the return of Mashrafe Mortaza was received well,
and despite the fact that he was a trifle rusty previously, his all-round skills
would help the Bangladeshi side. Especially his fast bowling.
For England, it will be another chance to experiment. Despite Andy Flower
vehemence that the English side will not shuffle things around too much, it
remains to be seen whether the changes will not be wrung in if the side goes
to win this one. With a squad of 16, it is obviously imperative that all the
players are given a go and hence this match could be a crucial one.
The batting will again revolve around the likes of Kevin Pietersen and Jonathon
Trott, with a third South African player now in their ranks as well in the form
of Craig Kieswetter. However, the one batsman whom everyone will be looking
forward to seeing will be Eoin Morgan, who had made an amazing transition
from being an Irish player to featuring in England for the ODIs. His batting
has been excellent so far, and he could just be man to look out for in the game.
