but overcome greatly in the last two matches, thumping Zimbabwe by 65 runs.

All eyes will be on all-rounder Abdul Razzak, who has shined all the way
long and has had impressive collections in the series so far. He took 4 wickets
apiece in the first and third ODIs and took 5 wickets leading Bangladesh to another
thumping six wicket win over the tourists in second ODI.
Along with him, captain and all rounder, Shakib Al Hasan too, has been impressive
so far and scored two fifties and took four wickets in the second ODI. None of
the other Bangladesh batsmen have shown consistency so far in the series and have
been good only in patches. Raqibul Hasan, Junaid Siddique and Mushfiqur Rahim
shone in only a single inning out of three and they need to fire in the fourth
ODI for Bangladesh to take some pressure off the captain Shakib and the experienced
Razzak.
On the other hand, Zimbabwean players have put up some good fights, but not have
been good as a team. They need to fire together so as to stand a chance against
Bangladesh, which has overpowered the visiting team in almost all the departments.
The win in first ODI was a welcome one, but even in that, Zimbabwe just managed
to scrape through with a win.
Brendan Taylor and Chamu Chibhabha have put up some good opening partnership,
but one of them needs to throw anchor and hold the innings together for at least
20-25 overs or possibly longer. Captain Elton Chigumbura has to fire with bat
and possibly, with ball as well to chip in with odd wicket at times to prop up
his team.
Bowlers have done a pretty decent job and picked up wickets. Chris Mpofu, Ray
Price, Prosper Utseya, Shingirai Masakadza and all rounder Chamu Chibhabha
have bowled well, but need to put in some more effort to bowl Bangladesh out or
at least restrict it to a small, manageable total.
This series being a test for Zimbabwe, nothing much was expected from it.
However, coming out of oblivion, Zimbabwe hasn't been that bad as was expected
from it. The team has shown promise, but the players need to fire, all at the
same time for the team to win in this match and in future as well.
