Canada will take on Kenya on Monday, March 7 at the Cricket World Cup
2011 at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. The two teams have really struggled
in the tournament and will be looking to win at least one game here to have some
consolation going for them.
Canada have played three games so far. In their first match, they were beaten
by Sri Lanka by a comprehensive margin. This was followed by a loss to Zimbabwe,
again, by a huge margin before they tried to run the Pakistanis close. Unfortunately,
they went down to Pakistan as well to make it three in a row.

On the other hand, Kenya have been worse. They were bundled out for 69 in their
first game against New Zealand and lost by ten wickets with 42 overs to spare.
This was followed by the loss to Pakistan, who hammered them by a 200-plus run
margin before in their last game Lasith Malinga fired enough Yorkers to bowl
the side out for nothing.
Thus, both the sides have played three games for their three losses and that
should make things interesting in this game - however low the quality of cricket
may be.
It will depend on how the side bat. Both the teams have not had the best of
times with the bat and will look to ensure that they get some runs on the board
at least. Having said that, the game, being played at the Feroz Shah Kotla will
have enough in it for the slower bowlers and make difficult for the batters.
They will need the side to ensure that the spin is played well enough on these
helpful tracks if they need the side to get on with the scoring.
A total of 250 should be a good one but to get there, likes of Ashish Bagai,
Gunasekera and Nitesh Kumar for Canada and Steve Tikolo, Collins
Obuya and David Obuya for Kenya need to get going with the bat. The top-order
has failed against the quality bowling but with the bowling for both sides in
this game being a tad lower than the likes of Malinga and Afridi, things could
be a little different for the batsmen.
One guesses that Kenya could have an edge on paper but Canada will be confident
after their previous game against Canada, making it an even battle of sorts.
