The fans are in for a double treat this weekend with two matches scheduled to
be played in the Indian Premier League on Saturday. The first of the two
matches will see Chennai Super Kings take on Kings XI Punjab in Chennai.
Chennai Super Kings are third on the points table with nine points from eight
matches. Their last match, against Royal Challengers Bangalore, was washed out
due to rain and fetched them one point. Before that, they won in style against
Rajasthan Royals.

The team has numerous star performers that can turn the game on its head singlehandedly. Faf du Plessis has more than 300 runs to his credit with three half centuries
already. He has outdone some of the usual big names expected to do well, including
skipper MS Dhoni and IPL's all-time highest run scorer Suresh Raina.
The bowlers have generally found the going tough specially with striking wickets.
Doug Bollinger has eight wickets while Ravindra Jadeja has seven, though
he had a five-wicket haul in one match. Nuwan Kulasekara has been a useful addition
to the squad and will look to carry on his rich form.
Kings XI Punjab are second from bottom on the points table with three
wins and five defeats thus far. They struggled to defend a strong total against
Mumbai Indians as their bowlers found it hard to pick up wickets.
Azhar Mahmood was the lone bright spot with two economical wickets but ended up
on the losing side. Parvinder Apanna picked up wickets again but was expensive.
In the absence of Adam Gilchrist, the team's difficulties have been
compounded though stand-in captain David Hussey finally struck form with
a well-composed 68. The team needs to win this match to be reasonably alive
in the hunt for the semi-finals.
The match will be played in Chennai, starting at 4.00pm local time.
