The match between Chennai Super Kings and New South Wales will be played
in Chennai, October 4 at 20:00 IST or 14:30 GMT. This encounter will be their
last encounter for their journey to the semi final.
Chennai Super Kings were surprisingly beaten by Trinidad and Tobago in their last
match in front of their home crowd by 12 runs. Batting first T&T scored reasonable
123 runs. CSK bowlers kept their batsmen in a lot of pressure.

They made them to start their innings very slowly. T&T batsmen were too cautious
because they were only 27 for 3 after power play. Finally, T&T managed to
score 123 runs as Kevon Cooper got 28 run smashing only 10 balls at the very end
of their innings. So, CSK bowlers did their job very well. They do not have to
do a lot of tension in terms of their performance when they will be meeting NSW.
But CSK's batsmen have to do a lot of things. They are now below all teams in
their group table which is very un-familiar to them.
Skipper Dhoni has to re think about his approach in his previous game as he scored
only 7 runs wasting 22 balls. Fans really expected a lot from him and his team
mates. All their big names collapsed expect Bravo and Morkel but these two should
have scored more.
On the other hand CSK's opponent, NSW have just beaten mighty Mumbai Indians who
were eagerly waiting to get a ticket for the semi final.
Mumbai Indians were beaten by 5 wickets. It was also a low scoring game like
CSK Vs T&T. NSW restricted Mumbai Indians only to100 runs. Pollard, Andrew Symonds and their new hero Kanwar were beaten by NSW bowlers.
Both Stuart Clarke and Mitchell Starc will be hopping once again
to shine against CSK batsmen. But they must improve their batting because even
the chase was only 101 runs their batsmen took them in a position of 28/5.
Steven Smith and Rohrer made an extra ordinary performance of 73 runs scoring
unbeaten 45 and 26 runs respectively. These two snatched the match away from Mumbai
Indians and brought a victory for them while 3 overs yet to play.
Only a mathematical miracle can save the defending champions Chennai Super
Kings while their opponent New South Wales still on the race but anything
can happen. The last few matches of Champions League Twenty20 2011 showed
us some upsets.
