An inspired bowling spell from Sourav Ganguly saw the Kolkata Knightriders
edge past a fighting Bangalore Royal Challengers in their previous clash.
The Knightriders will however know that they are walking on a tight rope and
will feel the need to improve upon their recent performances. The batting has
been a big let down with only David Hussey and Saha standing up in their matches
so far. Sourav Ganguly and Brad Hodge have been disappointing so far and will
need to prove their mettle against a bloodthirsty Deccan Chargers outfit. The
bowling however will be boosted by the arrival of Sohaib Akthar for this clash;
the Pakistani spearhead will be available for this clash after being suspended
by the Pakistan cricket board for five years. Skipper Sourav Ganguly will be
hoping that the presence of the talismatic strike bowler will inspire the Kolkata
Knightriders to higher positions in the eight team IPL league table when they
take on a beleaguered Deccan Chargers outfit in the Rajiv Gandhi stadium in
Uppal Hyderabad this coming Sunday 11th may 2008.
