With two matches to be played on Thursday, Delhi Daredevils will clash
with Royal Challengers Bangalore later in the evening in a match of extreme significance
for Bangalore.
Delhi Daredevils became the first team to seal a spot in the playoffs following
their win against Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday. They can afford to experiment
with their line-up but for Royal Challengers Bangalore, their fate depends
on their last two matches plus the results of other teams. A defeat would almost
certainly rule them out given their poor run-rate compared to Chennai Super
Kings.

Delhi Daredevils scored an emphatic win over Kings XI, chasing down the 137-run
target with an over to spare. Captain Virender Sehwag seems confident that his
team will continue to win matches although their top order struggled before Mahela Jayawardene played a match-winning knock of 56.
Naman Ojha has also made some valuable contributions to the team but Ross Taylor's
failures will be a sign of worry for the side still looking to find a replacement
for Kevin Pietersen. David Warner has played one innings of substance.
Morne Morkel has been the star with the ball though has not picked up many wickets
off late.
For the Royal Challengers Bangalore, they lost a seemingly pocketed match against
Mumbai Indians. Defending 171, the Challengers had Mumbai reeling at 44 for
4 before Ambati Rayudu and Kieron Pollard turned the tide. Bangalore have often
struggled with their bowling and it was witnessed yet again as Zaheer Khan
and Vinay Kumar failed to strike at crucial moments.
In addition, their fifth bowler combo of KP Appanna and Chris Gayle conceded
58 runs and will be an area that they would like to address. With the bat, the
usual stars will be hoping to do well and will also be impressed by the class
shown by Mayank Agarwal in a clean-hitting show of 64 runs from 30 balls.
The match will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.
