The Delhi Daredevils will play the Chennai Super Kings at the Feroz Shah
Kotla stadium in Delhi. The Delhi side has had a ravishing start to the tournament
and have won two games out of two, whereas the Chennai Super Kings lost
their first match of the tournament to the Deccan Chargers.
The Delhi Daredevils possess a batting line-up which, in the previous two games
has shown that they can do the best despite losing a few early wickets. If Gambhir
does not play, then it is Sehwag who does, and what is worse for the opponents
is that Tillakaratne Dilshan has yet to get going in the tournament and
has started with a couple of ducks - which makes it even more difficult for
the Super Kings as this could be the match he could come good in!

the tournament, but the Jack-in-the-Box, Dinesh Karthik is always there
to smack the ball around and this is why the batting becomes a bit of a worry
for the opposition.
The bowling for Delhi complements the bowling rather well. In the Rajasthan
game, Sarabjeet Ladda was given a game, and he performed well enough to deserve
another chance. However, against Chennai the captain will have to use Ladda
rather conservatively as there are two batsmen who could take his brand of bowling
on; Mathew Hayden and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, both of whom cam hit the
ball out of the ground with ease.
As compared to that, the Chennai team has a rightful balance, but it is very
evident that their batting is stronger than their bowling. In the last game
against the Chargers, the batting failed to come good, and that was the reason
for the loss, but this time around, they will look to overcome that and make
the games count.
Hayden needs to probably use his Mongoose bat and thrash about than try cheeky
shots over the fine-leg, whereas the likes of Suresh Raina and Murali
Vijay need to play their natural game and not look to beat the leather out of
every ball.
It is the Chennai bowling that is a bit of a worry. Albie Morkel cannot
be described as a new ball bowler and continued to leak runs, whereas Sudeep
Tyagi's confidence would be rather low. Hence, the captain needs to look for
options and if possible even look at starting with spinners.
