Delhi Daredevils will be in action in front of their home crowd for the first
time as they host Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday, with the match being
the third fixture for both sides. Both the teams have one win apiece from two
matches, but look like two of the more promising sides this season.
Delhi Daredevils lost their match by 20 runs against Royal Challengers
Bangalore on Saturday, in front of a disciplined bowling performance by the
Challengers. For the Daredevils, their bowlers did reasonably well with the
exception of Irfan Pathan who was plundered for runs. However, Pathan
continues to score with the bat so his axing is certainly not the talking point
at the moment. Morne Morkel will look to upset the rhythm of Bangalore
batsmen, especially as the Indian batsmen are not fond of short-pitched bowling.
With the bat, captain Virender Sehwag suffered a second consecutive failure
but will look to attack the Chennai bowlers without a doubt.

For Chennai Super Kings, their 74-run win against Deccan Chargers was as good
as they come, specially after having lost the opening match to Mumbai Indians.
The batting was thorough with Faf du Plessis providing the impetus early on
before Ravindra Jadeja came into his own with a 29-ball 48. The night
was not over for Jadeja as he picked up five wickets for 16 runs with the ball
and truly justified the two-million-dollar price tag at the auction. Jadeja
will again have plenty of expectations attached while Doug Bollinger
also came into his own and could be the option to trouble Sehwag. Plenty of
slow bowling options would also serve to MS Dhoni's benefit as the Delhi pitch
is traditionally renowned to favor spin.
Delhi will host its first match this season, with the toss at 7.30pm and action
underway half an hour later.
