Delhi Daredevils will play the Wayamba Elevens in their second game of the tournament at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground. Delhi has already lost to Victoria in the first match and a loss here would dump them out of the tournament. On the other hand, Wayamaba is playing their first game in the tournament and will know that they only need to win this one game to qualify for the second round.

Gautam Gambhir admitted that his batsmen had played badly in the game against Victoria. After all, they did have a decent start, but then they started losing wickets and collapsed to an embarrassingly low 98 all out to lose the game rather easily.

The Delhi Daredevils will have to bat a lot better than what they did in the previous game for sure. The issue that they may face is that if they did lose the toss, they may have to chase a total, a situation that they may not be too happy about.

For starters, there is a reasonable chance that Tillakaratne Dilshan could bat at the opening slot and one of the two, Gautam Gambhir or Virendra Sehwag would go down the order. Apart from that, some changes will need to be made to the approach to the batting, which seemed to be to go after the bowling from the start. They will need to give the first couple of overs to the bowlers before going after them.

Wayamba will be an unknown quantity going into the game. The one aspect that is not unknown about them is their line-up of spinners and that will prove to be the one to look out for. With players like Ajantha Mendis, Kaushal L and Rangana Herath in the side, it will be a difficult choice for the side to make to choose the composition of the side.

The batting will revolve around Mahela Jayawardene, but that will be really their weaker area. The others who will need to step up a gear are the openers like Mahela Udawatte, Jehan Mubarak and Michael Vandort.

Farveez Maharoof will be the all-rounder who had played for the Daredevils in the previous seasons of the IPL and will understand his opponents much more than the rest. This will mean that he could play a huge role in the success of his team, with his batting, bowling and strategy!
