 Australia will take on the English side in the second ODI of the five match series
and the game will be played in the Welsh ground of Cardiff. England leads
the series 1-0 and will be looking to make it 2-0 in order to put a lot of pressure
on the Aussies in the rest of the series, leading up to the Ashes at the end of
the year. Australia, on the other hand, will know that their bowling is their
weakest suit and hence will look to make sure that they have enough on the board.

Australia batted well enough in the previous ODI and a score of 268 was par
for the course on that track. Unfortunately, apart from the pair of Bollinger
and Harris, none of the other bowlers in the Aussie line-up have any kind of
incision strengths - yet anyway. That is the reason why, after the pair of bowlers
were seen off, the rest of the bowlers could be easily manoeuvred by the English
batsmen.
In fact, the English top-order did lose three wickets early, and one gets the
sense that now that they know that the Aussie bowling is not too strong, even
the top order will look at seeing through the early overs without too many risks
and scoring off the rest of the bowlers instead of attacking Bollinger and Harris.
Australia will probably look at playing Steven Smith in the side in place of
Nathan Hauritz, given that it is always more difficult to play a leggie
than an offie.
As compared to that, the fast bowlers for Australia should continue
to remain the same. Josh Hazlewood did not have a great debut, but then again,
it is only natural that there would be some nerves and that is the one reason
why one thinks that the Aussies may not want to tinker around too much.
England will go in with exactly the same line-up too and will look to ensure
that they play percentage cricket. They would have also seen that the Aussie
bowling does crack under pressure and with the back-up staff of James Hopes
and Shane Watson becoming easier to score off, will look to do exactly the same.
The bowling for England did well in the previous game, but Graeme Swann
will continue to remain the key and if he bowls as well as he has in the past,
scoring could be difficult for the opposition.
