England will play West Indies in the second of the two T20I of the series
at the Oval. The two sides have played one game and the English side won the game
rather easily by ten wickets.
The first game saw the West Indian side starting off well with a 60-run partnership
for the first wicket. However, this was followed by a collapse that saw them
add only 27 runs for the loss of the last eight wickets. Ravi Bopara
was the standout performer who ended up with a four-wicket haul and ensured
that the batsmen were not going to be chasing a lot of runs.

Not that the English side would have minded too much. The reason was their
first wicket partnership between Alex Hales and Craig Kieswetter who went on
to score the required runs without losing a single wicket and winning the game.
There were a few positives that came out of the game for West Indies and the
biggest one of them would be the batting of Dwayne Smith. Smith was making
his debut in that game and will be looking to ensure that he builds on the start
that he has had.
No doubt England were the favourite in the first Twenty20I but the way they beat
West Indies was really a surprise. They beat new West Indies side by 10 wickets.
The final and deciding match between this two will be played at The Oval, September
25 at 17:30 GMT 18:30 Local time.
England is also the favourite for this encounter once again. Their batsmen showed
their mighty ability in the first match. Batting first England scored a gettable
total of 128 runs but without losing any wicket. Both of their openers Hals and
Kieswetter remained unbeaten and chance less throughout the game.
West Indies did bowl well if we are only concerned about the total run of English
team. But they did not create any threat to the English openers. But though
it is a very new side they should have won this match. They were very close
but their inexperience causes the problem for them. They kept losing wickets
one after another when a good partnership was really needed to build up the
innings. Their opener Dwayne Smith and Johnson Charles were able to score
42 runs only from the early 4 over of the innings. English pace man Tim Bresnan
was once punished for 22 runs in a single over.
There should not be any surprise of team selection of England team as
they are well on the track. All of their players are performing as expectation
and West Indies might include left arm spinner Garey Mathurin.
West Indies have to strike as much as possible to beat England to get at least
a draw in the series and England will be trying to win the series to get more
pride for their team.
