The 42nd game of the third edition of the tournament will see the Deccan Chargers play the Chennai Super Kings at Nagpur. Nagpur is the home ground for the Deccan Chargers and the side will hope that the venue brings them much more luck than it had in the previous game against the Rajasthan Royals, which they lost by two runs.

The Chennai Super Kings are on a definite roll. They beat Rajasthan in a tall-scoring game at Chepauk, and then overcame the Mumbai Indians in a lowish scoring game, to win two in a row and get to ten points. However, what remains interesting to be seen is how they perform now, at a venue away from their home.

The advantage that the Super Kings have had at Chennai is the weather. Not too many teams have been able to tour here well and have been dehydrated, making it almost difficult for them. Sachin Tendulkar was one prime example of the same, as he struggled to stay fit for most part of his innings, and ultimately had to go back into the pavilion. However, with the conditions at Nagpur not expected to be as bad, the Super Kings will depend on Doug Bollinger to deliver the goods against the Deccan Chargers, who have been struggling with their batting.

Of course, the opening duo of Murali Vijay and Mathew Hayden is always there, but Hayden has looked out of sorts in the games leading up to this one. If he can overcome his form issues, then one can be rest assured that the Chennai Super Kings will have a good chance in the game.

However, one can never discount a side which possesses a fire-power of a batting line-up like Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs and Andrew Symonds. Of course, Gibbs was not selected in the previous game, and Dwayne Smith was played, and it does look like that he will continue to feature in the side's plans. Smith is a decent bowler who can consume 2-3 overs, and can also give the ball a fair whack if given a chance.

But the problem that the Chargers seem to be having is with their Indian stars. Apart from Rohit Sharma who performed in the previous game, the rest of them have struggled through most part and that has increased the Deccan woes. How does the side overcome the issues remains to be seen as they get into a must-win scenario in the tournament.
