Deccan Chargers' only win this season has come against Pune Warriors
and they will be delighted should they able to make it two in two. They also
need points desperately after having earned just three points from eight matches.

The task though is not easy. After their welcome win, they succumbed to the usual
- a defeat, this time against Mumbai Indians on Sunday. Their batsmen have continually
struggled to find consistency as they collapsed to 100 all out inside 19 overs.
Only Shikhar Dhawan has scored respectable runs, and he was the highest
run-scorer with 29 again. The bowlers did their best to make a fight out of
a small total, but it was always going to be near impossible to defend it. Dale Steyn returned with figures of two for 10 from four overs and will again be the key against Pune Warriors.
Pune Warriors have four wins from nine matches that sees them in seventh place
on the points table. In their last match, the meeting against Deccan Chargers,
they fell short by 18 runs chasing a formidable total of 177. The bowlers need
to lift their game after an ordinary performance while the batsmen were guilty
of throwing away after a good start.
As many as five batsmen reached the 20s but failed to go further. The dependence
on Jesse Ryder has proved costly so Sourav Ganguly and Marlon
Samuels would expectedly look to shoulder more responsibility.
The match will be played in Cuttack, the home ground for Deccan Chargers. The
match starts at 4.00pm local time.
