 The last game of the group stage of the competition will have the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers play the Trinidad and Tobago in a Group A game. The equation
may be a little complicated here if Deccan Chargers were able to beat the T&T
side. Because that would mean that all three teams in the group, Deccan, Trinidad and Tobago and Somerset Sabres will be with two points each and the side with
the best net run-rate will go through.

Somerset will be at a disadvantage on that case. Their win over the Deccan
Chargers was off the last ball of the game, whereas their loss to the T&T
side was huge. This means that they currently have a net run rate which is minus
one. As compared to that DC have a NRR of minus 0.2, whereas T&T has a plus
2.2. This means that if DC wins the game they are through to the next round,
but then for Somerset Sabres to qualify, the win over T&T will need
to be really huge, in order for the T&T side to go below the NRR of Somerset.
The possibility of that happening is bleak and hence, in all probabilities,
T&T, by the virtue of that huge win are already through to the next round
of the tournament.
The Deccan Chargers will depend on Adam Gilchrist to come good. He has
been their big match player and as was seen in the semi-finals of the last season's
IPL, he will definitely want to stamp his authority in this must-win game over
the game. However, even if he does not play too well, the good thing for DC
is that they have a fairly strong batting line-up, with even Vangipurappu Venkata Sai Laxman(VVS Laxman) having come good against the Somerset side
in the previous match. They will need post a big enough total on a track which
plays fairly well, and the ball is coming onto the bat as well.
In a pressure game, the side will want to bat first like what Bangalore had
done in the previous game to win the match.
For the Trinidad side, they will rely on their Bravo brothers again. Daren Bravo did not get too many in the game, but his brother Dwayne Bravo
did bowl extremely well and will look to cap a fine all-round performances.
They have their incentive to win the game as well, as a win here will mean that
they will carry forward two points into the next round too!
