India will be hoping to further their CB series ambitions
with a giant killing victory over the mighty Australians in the fourth one dayer
of a pulsating CB series at the MCG this coming Sunday. The first round of battle
has been badly interrupted by rain and India will be anxious for some
proper cricketing action after seeing their previous matches drained away.

India were unlucky in their previous match a magnificent century
by Gautam Gambhir and his brilliant fourth wicket partnership with skipper
Mahendra Singh Dhoni put up a large total for a fragile Sri lanka batting
to scale down. However as things turned out, the second rainstorm in two days
at the Gabba pulled India down and the Men in blue will be hoping to register
a victory over Australia this time around. Yuvraj Singh is expected to slot
back into the side for this clash while Gambhir has made his place certain with
two wonderful knocks so far this series. The Delhi southpaw has looked in sublime
touch and with Dinesh Karthik seemingly out of sorts, he is expected to be given
an extended run in the Indian batting line up. Skipper Dhoni will be pleased
to get back among the runs after some rather indifferent performances in the
recent past and will be hoping to use his leadership qualities to good effect
to guide a young Indian team beyond a Aussie barrier. In the bowling end, India
will be persisting with the same attack that played the first two matches as
most of them haven't got a proper bowl yet under soddy conditions in Brisbane.
A fantastic display of controlled swing bowling helped the
Australians dismiss the Sri Lankans by a gargantuan margin despite not putting
up the biggest of totals on the board. Nathan Bracken was the pick of
the lot and it was his 5-47 that included the prize scalps of Kumara Sangakarra
and Tilakaratne Dilshan that helped Australia shoot down their Asian
rivals for a shocking 128. The Australian batting line up however has flattered
to deceive so far this series and they were lucky to get off the hooks last
time around courtesy a fine unbeaten half century by vice captain Michael Clarke.
Clarke certainly has been among the runs in the past few matches and will be
hoping to cement his place in this strong Australian batting line up with a
convincing batting performance against the Indians this coming Sunday 10th of
February at the hollowed Sydney Cricket Ground.
