India go into the second final of the CB Series looking to wrap up a
memorable trip down under with a victory over the reigning world champions in
Brisbane this coming Tuesday. India have fought Australia tooth for tooth
throughout this series and with the final match represent a fabulous opportunity
for Team India to mark a new change in their cricketing approach.

India won the first One day final comprehensively in Sydney courtesy
of a memorable batting performance from maestro Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar
was at his unforgiving best against the Australia and Indian rode on a first
class ride on the back of his century to secure a rare final win over Australia.
That win was India's second over Australia this series, their highest ever against
the Aussies down under and things certainly do look bright for the Indian outfit.
Rohit Sharma was equally impressive in testing conditions in Sydney and the
form of the young Mumbai batsman will come as a big boost to the Indian middle
order which has been rather lame so far this series. However, the bowling department
which has performed remarkably well this series will be hampered for this clash
due to the absence of tear away fast bowler Ishant Sharma. Sharma injured his
finger in the early stages of India's victory over the Aussies and his absence
will probably mean the inclusion of dasher Virender Sehwag in the Indian ranks
as Mahendra Singh Dhoni will probably play four bowlers on a fast Brisbane pitch.
Piyush Chawla created webs around the Australians last time around and is expected
to retain his place along with Harbhajan Singh for this tie. India have had
a poor track record at the Gabba and will be hoping to erase all that with one
fine victory this time around.
Australia on the other hand have some soul searching to do as a second CB series
disappointment awaits them. Apart from the likes of Matthew Hayden and Andrew
Symonds, the batting line up has in general disappointed and Captain Ricky Pointing
may be forced to take some harsh decisions this time around. Australia are on
a losing streak having lost their last two matches and with the likes of Brad
Hogg and Adam Gilcrhist retiring after this series, they will be hard pressed
to come up with a win in this tie. Stuart Clarke may be brought into the attack
in place of the disappointing Brad Hogg for this tie while Brad Haddin is expected
to slot in the place of James Hopes. Australia's bowling did give it their best
in their last tie on India but came up crop against a runs scoring wall in the
wall in the form of Sachin Tendulkar. However, in Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken
and Mitchell Johnson the Australians posses a pace trio capable of troubling
the best in business and they will be looking to do just that when they host
India in the second final of the CB cricket series this coming Tuesday 6th of
March 2008 at the Gabba in Brisbane.
