| India Vs New Zealand 1st Test Match 4 Nov Live |
India are the number one placed Test team in the world. New Zealand in
contrast have always struggled massively in the longest format of the game. The
two teams meet in Ahmadabad to start a three match Test series on fourth November.
India have always been a hostile opposition at home. They are further enhanced
by the return of Gautam Gambhir, VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma who picked
up injuries ahead of second Test against Australia.

All three star players have been and included in India's 15 man squad for the
three Test match series against New Zealand, which starts from November 4 in Ahmadabad.
Cheteshwar Pujara and M Vijay who made an impressive impact at Bangalore are also
part of the team. Indian team looks well balanced ahead of first Test.
Batting have always been a pillar of strength for India and it is likely that
they would make most of the batting line up which includes Tendulkar, Sehwaq,
Raina Dhoni etc. If all the players are fit and ready to play, we may have the
best Indian side take field for some time. Fast bowling has never been India's
thing but they are looking good in spin department with multiple choices in the
form of Pragyan Ojha, Amit Mishra and Harbhajan Singh. Ahmedabad will most
likely be a batting friendly wicket.
India have won three of their last five Test matches
New Zealand are fresh from a humiliating thump of 4-0 whitewash from Bangladesh.
The Kiwis look down and out but it is a known fact in world cricket that New Zealand
have the capability to produce great results out of nowhere.
Kane Williamson, who made a recent ton is included in New Zealand squad along
with two other uncapped players Hamish Bennett and Andy McKay, three uncapped
players, have been included in the Test squad.
Martin Guptill also makes his return to the side along with Brent Arnel, Chris
Martin, Tim McIntosh, Gareth Hopkins and Jeetan Patel who were in Zimbabwe
playing tour matches for New Zealand A . New Zealand's batting has let them down
in recent time, and since Ahmadabad will offer good batting conditions, they may
look to redeem themselves.
This New Zealand side lacks Test match experience. Can the youth pick themselves
and put an end to New Zealand's miseries? We will soon know.
New Zealand have been successful in only one of their recent five Tests.
