Rajasthan Royals meet Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2011 in their home game at Jaipur. While the Royals are high on confidence with a win over Deccan Chargers, the Delhi franchise would be looking to overcome their disappointing loss against Mumbai Indians and register their first win of the competition.
Rajasthan Royals have made a good start to the tournament by winning the opening game, which was in total contrast to their performances in the previous three editions. The performances of Amit Singh and Siddharth Trivedi in that game needs special mention. The two bowlers picked up three wickets each and Trivedi was economical as well. Shane Warne was his usual best picking up the key wickets of Ishank Jaggi and JP Duminy and giving away just 21 runs from his four overs.

The Rajasthan batting looks solid with all the top order batsmen coming good in the first game. Wicket-keeper batsman Amit Paunikar along with Rahul Dravid provided good start for their team to build on. Shane Warne has been a wily captain and has surprised everyone with his calculated moves and this time Johan Botha provided that surprise with an entertaining undefeated 67 runs, batting at number three. Also the availability of Ross Taylor, Jacob Oram too has increased Rajasthan's chances against Delhi.
Delhi Daredevils' biggest strength is their top order and they would expect that at least one of the openers play a substantial innings. The Delhi batting was completely blown away by Lasith Malinga in the previous match and their vulnerability against quality fast bowling might be prove costly for the team. Naman Ojha looks to be in good touch and so is Y Venugopala Rao. Irfan Pathan could not do much with the bat in the first game but could prove a match winner on his day.
Bowling wise, Delhi Daredevils have Morne Morkel, Irfan Pathan and Ashok Dinda but Pathan and Dinda's consistency could be a worry for the team. The lack of quality spin option is expected to come back to haunt the Daredevils who seem to be heavily dependent on Morkel. It is to be noted that Morkel played for Rajasthan Royals in the previous IPL editions and it is to be seen how he would utilize the occasion to inflict some damage to his former franchise.
Rajasthan are currectly placed third in the points table with two points while Delhi are looking to win their first points of this 10-team tournament.
