With the first match out of the way, the two sides that clash on Sunday can be
expected to be getting into their plans better than the anxiety prior to the start
of first match. Rajasthan Royals will host Kolkata Knight Riders in Jaipur
in what will be the first of two matches on Sunday.
Rajasthan Royals chalked up a convincing 31-run win in their opening match
on Friday, against Kings XI Punjab. Under Rahul Dravid, the team was
seeking a fresh start and it did exactly that by posting an imposing total before
measured bowling kept the opposition in check.

Ajinkya Rahane missed out on his century by just two runs but will be feeling
confident about the challenge ahead. Brad Hodge and Owais Shah both have previously
been with Kolkata Knight Riders and will look to make use of the insights
gained through their time with their old franchise. Kevin Cooper is another
player to watch out for after his mixing up of pace brought about four wickets
as the batsmen fell eyeing the big strokes.
Kolkata Knight Riders suffered an eight-wicket loss in their opening match against
Delhi Daredevils, with the match cut to 12 overs in a disappointing tale of events
for the Kolkata fans.
However, Gautam Gambhir will still need to tell his players the importance
of partnerships in a shortened match as well after only three batsmen were able
to reach double-figures as the strategy to attack from the word go backfired.
Yusuf Pathan, despite scoring a duck in the last match, remains a key
player in the middle order while Brett Lee's striking abilities will also be
tested.
Marchant de Lange was expensive, though unlucky at times and could get another
chance before any changes are thought of for him.
The day match will be played in Jaipur, starting at 4pm local time.
