The 34th game of the Indian Premier League will see the Mumbai Indians
travel to the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur to play the Rajasthan Royals.
The two teams come into the game with wins in their previous game; Mumbai Indians
beat Deccan Chargers whereas the Rajasthan Royals were able to overcome the Kochi
Tuskers in the last game.
The Mumbai Indians have been on a roll. This has been because of their batting,
bowling and fielding. Yes, they have had all three departments of the game going
so well for them that it is difficult to imagine that the other sides will be
able to catch up with them.

However, they would know that it takes just one bad game for the side to lose
the focus and lose control of the situation and that will be what should propel
the side further into the action.
What the Mumbai Indians need to do is get their opening sorted out. What
Sachin Tendulkar needs at the top of the order to go with his own batting
is for someone to be able to bludgeon attacks out of the ground so that he can
play his own game and bat right through the innings. Right now, the form of Davy
Jacobs does not inspire too much for him and that is the reason why he has not
been able to get going with his own batting either - despite wearing the Orange
Cap for now.
The Rajasthan Royals will need to get rid of the side's top order quickly. However,
as the Chargers discovered, they need to get the entire top six out if they have
to have any chance - as it happened in the last game, it was the batting of Rohit Sharma and Symonds that saved the day for the side. This time it could be
anyone else.
The Royals should open their batting with Dravid and Watson. The two are different
from each other but more importantly, they can get the team off to a good start
which will then get consolidated in the times after that through a Johan Botha
and any of the other bowlers who may want to get going with the side.
The Rajasthan Royals may also want to look at their bowling which seems
a little out of potency except if Shane Warne get going. And so far, Warne
has been inconsistent in his bowling.
