After nearly seven weeks of action, the time has arrived for the league matches
to come to an end in the fifth season of the Indian Premier League. The
last league match will feature Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals to be
played on Sunday in Jaipur.

For Rajasthan Royals, the match holds no significance in terms of qualification
scenarios as they have already been knocked out. Mumbai Indians, hypothetically
(at the time of printing of this article), still stand a chance to be eliminated
should they lost though the chances look very remote.
Rajasthan Royals' hopes were crushed when they lost to the woefully out of
form Deccan Chargers on Friday evening. The match, expected to be a walk in
the park, turned out quite the opposite with Rajasthan batsmen finding it hard
to score freely. Rahul Dravid top scored with 39 but took his time to score
the runs while Ajinkya Rahane and Shane Watson failed with the bat. The
duo will look to score well in the last match now that no pressure is on them.
The bowling attack could see some changes made after Shaun Tait was torn
apart in a low total to defend.
Mumbai Indians lost their last match - against Kolkata Knight Riders - by 32
runs as their batting failed in chasing down a modest total but under a pressure
situation. Until the team's qualification is fully confirmed, Lasith Malinga
is expected to play and have a major impact on the game while Kieron Pollard
would be thinking there would be no better time to show his prowess than now.
Sachin Tendulkar top scored for Mumbai in the previous match and captain Harbhajan
Singh will be hoping for flowing scoring from the little master yet again.
The match will be played in Jaipur, the home ground for Rajasthan Royals.
