Japan and Cameroon will be going up against each other at the Free State Stadium
in Bloemfontein on Monday in a Group E encounter as part of the 2010 World Cup.
These two sides share a group with the Netherlands and Denmark and it is probably
going to be a tough one to escape from. Both these teams have proved to have lots
of spirit during previous competitions so nobody will be counting them out completely.

Cameroon surprised many people by the superb performance in the 1990 World Cup
in Italy, but they have failed to show the same level of skill since that time.
They are however the top rated African team in the world and perhaps the fact
that the World Cup is being held on their continent will work to their advantage.
During their qualification period for the World Cup the team started off slowly
with just two draws; they later picked up the pace with a few wins. Many are touting
the Netherlands or Denmark to win this group but maybe Cameroon will surprise
the world again.
Japan is probably the top Asian team in football. They failed to impress at the
last World Cup after exiting during the group stage, but they did better
in the 2002 event when they shared the hosting duties with South Korea. Japan
only lost one of their games on the way to South Africa and they will be
hoping that this is a good omen. They will realise thought that escaping Group
E is going to be tough and if they do it they will have earned their place in
the final stage.
Group E promises to provide plenty to see for football fans. All the teams have
the potential to do good work and you can expect plenty of spirited action. Make
sure that you don't miss out on any of it by joining us here on action8cricket.com
