With two matches to be played on Saturday, the Indian Premier League continues
to serve up high quality action as Kolkata Knight Riders host Royal Challengers Bangalore in the day's second match. Both teams will be raring to be in action
after suffering rain washouts in their respective last matches.
Kolkata Knight Riders have recovered well from early jitters and are sitting comfortably
in second position on the points table, having scored nine points from eight matches.

They will also have the psychological edge having beaten the Challengers earlier
in the season. Knight Riders will rely on Jacques Kallis and Gautam Gambhir
to shoulder bulk of the responsibility with the bat while Manoj Tiwary
and Manvinder Bisla have also contributed valuably.
Yusuf Pathan's form remains a big question mark. With the ball, their star
performer has been Sunil Narine who has picked up ten wickets at an economy
of just six runs per over. Laksmipathy Balaji has also done well while
Shakib Al Hassan provides the balance to the side.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, currently fourth on the table, also have
nine points from eight matches. Their performances have been fluctuating from
mediocre to extraordinary, and will be seeking to do better than the poor show
they put against Kolkata last time.
In that match, their batting crumbled with none of the top six batsmen scoring
20 runs. Captain Daniel Vettori will be looking to revolve his players
around, though there are no signs of Muttiah Muralitharan being included.
Chris Gayle will again be looked upon as the standout performer with the bat,
having played some carefully crafted aggressive knocks. AB de Villiers at number
five gives them a fiery aggressor with the ability to finish the game well and
if they fire, the team will be hard to stop.
The match will be played in Kolkata starting at 8.00pm.
