The second and last game of day three will be an action replay as Kolkata Knight
Riders and Somerset CCC will take on each other once again after their
first encounter on Wednesday. It will be played in Hyderabad, September 25 at
20:00 IST or 14:30GMT.
It was the cameo of Dutch all rounder Ryan ten Doeschate by which KKR have
qualified for the main round of Champions League Twenty20 2011. ten Doeschate
will clearly be the player to watch out for as the way he smashed the ball around
in that first game against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Somerset Beat KKR by 11 runs but KKR managed it to the next round with a better
run rate than Ruhunu. Their regular skipper Gautam Gambhir is expected
to play this match. His presence will be a very big advantage for KKR.
In the last game, none of their batsmen got a good start. Manoj Tiwary
and ten Doeschate saved the game. If they want to beat Somerset first of all
they need a good start from Kallis or his partner. Then middle order has to
perform. Their main problem is that big names like Yusuf Pathan, Jacques
Kallis, and Manvinder Bisla did not perform at all.
Brett Lee and Jaidev Unadkat took couple of wickets but they were not effective
enough to pose a threat to Somerset batsmen. Somerset targeted KKR spinners Iqbal
Abdullah, Shakib Al Hasan and Yusuf Pathan it was very clear from their first
encounter.
Somerset do know how to beat KKR. They have done their home work very well.
They looked very well prepared in the first match. Their batsman Peter Trego
scored 70 runs and South African Roelof Van der Merwe assisted him well. While
bowling they took the advantage of the pitch a lot better than KKR. Both Merwe
and Max Waller took two wickets while Arul Suppiah, Indian Spinner Murali Kartik and Trego himself took one wicket.
Somerset have got the momentum. Now they will be trying desperately not to lose
it. KKR must come up with a different plan otherwise they will surely lose once
again and this defeat will let owner Shahrukh Khan dream only about his upcoming
films not his cricket team.
