The Kings XI Punjab team especially is expected to display some fine performances.
The team is being captained by the twenty 20 specialist Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj
Singh who plays for the Indian National team is the only player to have hit
six sixes of six consecutive balls in an over in twenty 20. The swash buckling
left hander is expected to be the major draw in this match and is also expected
to entertain the crowds. Former Australian legendary cricketer Tom Moody has
been appointed as the coach of the team. This fact alone is good enough to guarantee
a good performance from the team. The team is evenly balanced in all departments
and is especially strong in the batting department. Various quality cricketers
from all around the world are a part of this team. The reins of the batting
department of the team are in the hands of captain Yuvraj Singh himself along
with Kumara Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, Simon Katich and James Hopes of Australia,
and Ramnaresh Sarwan of the West Indies. The team is also extremely talented
in terms of the bowling and with the Australian pace men Brett Lee spear heading
the bowling attack, the Kings XI Punjab team is expected to win this match with
ease.
The Chennai Super Kings on the other hand lack the star power. Despite the
lacking star power, the Chennai Super Kings team has some quality performers.
In the batting department, former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming, current
Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Mike Hussey of Australia
are expected to perform. Besides them, the batting prospects of the team were
boosted to a great extent by the addition of the great Australian batsman Matthew
Hayden. Hayden who is known for his aggressive cricketing and batting style
looks tailor made for twenty 20 and is thus expected to be amongst the top performers
for the team. Kepler Wessles is the acting coach of the team and Mahendra Singh
Dhoni will don the captains' cap yet again.
