The 60th game of the Indian Premier League will see the two teams, struggling
in the middle of the tournament take on each other. The Kings XI Punjab will host
the Delhi Daredevils as they will look to maximum the small chance that
they have of making it to the next round. The game will be played at Dharmasala.
The Kings XI Punjab have played 11 games and have 10 points. These 10
points include the four that they won from the previous two games, including
one against the Mumbai Indians, in which they got going so well that the champion
side that Mumbai is, they did not till get any result. In their next game that
happened yesterday, the side was able to get going with their huge target that
was set for them and that meant that they beat Kochi despite chasing down 175-plus
runs.

Punjab will look to ensure that they can get the momentum going again. Against
the Mumbai Indians, it was a concerted effort to win the game for the side when
they scored a 165 despite not getting a single half century. In their next match,
Punjab were able to rake off the target thanks to the batting of Dinesh Karthik,
who was able to get going with the batting. He made a half century and that allowed
the side to get moving.
Delhi will look to ensure that they can get some kind of a confidence booster
from this game. They are already without their regular captain Virender Sehwag
and that will put them under a lot of pressure, especially given that the new
captain has many things on his shoulders. James Hopes will look to ensure that
they can get moving with the role well.
What the Daredevils need is for their bowling to come good. The side has been
battered nicely when it comes to their bowling, so much so that even Morne Morkel has been kept out of the side. The side will look to ensure that
they will be able to restrict their opponents to a manageable score but the
ground at Dharmasala allows the teams to get a lot of runs towards the end of
the innings, which they will look to overcome.
Punjab will be favourites to win this one.
