The fifth season of the Indian Premier League will see two matches being played on Saturday. The second of the two matches involves Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab, with the match to be played in Mohali.

The match is expected to generate quite an interest for the home side as their win in the last match, against the same opposition, has given them fresh hope of a qualification for the playoffs. Although in seventh place with 12 points from as many matches, Kings XI have the advantage of having played a game less than other teams around them and a win would significantly improve their chances. Mandeep Singh will yet again look to impress after his 75-run knock took the team to an impressive 170 against Chargers. With Shaun Marsh, David Hussey and Azhar Mahmood in the line up, the team surely has enough potential to outdo the out-of-sorts Deccan Chargers. David Miller also played a little cameo in the last match providing impetus to the score.

Deccan Chargers are waiting for their miserable season to come to an end as soon as possible. They have managed to beat only one side in the tournament - Pune Warriors - and have lost themselves many a matches from winning positions. In their last match - a defeat against Delhi Daredevils - they failed to defend an imposing 187. The target was chased down in just 16.4 overs speaks volumes of the problems they have had against brutal batting. Shikhar Dhawan and Cameron White will be the expected bets to do well with the bat, having scored half-centuries in the previous match as well, while the bowlers are still looking at each other to find a solution to their woes.

The match will be played in Mohali and should draw a sizable crowd on a Saturday evening.
