Two of the high profile teams will be in action in the Indian Premier League
on Wednesday as Mumbai Indians take on Royal Challengers Bangalore
in Mumbai. Both teams are in with a reasonable chance of making it to the playoffs.
Mumbai Indians, the hosts, are relatively better placed with 14 points from 11
matches. They won their last match against Chennai Super Kings when it looked
nearly impossible for them to do so.

Dwayne Smith belted 24 off just nine balls as the team clinched the victory
off the final after a mid-innings collapse. The management will be pleased by
the form shown by Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma who both scored half-centuries.
However, a middle-order collapse that saw seven wickets fall in the space of
25 runs, including four ducks, is something they will be keen to avoid. The
bowlers are doing a fairly reasonable job with Lasith Malinga and RP
Singh being the pick of the bowlers.
Royal Challengers Bangalore revived their campaign with a much-needed and equally
come-from-behind win against Deccan Chargers. Set a daunting 182 to chase, the
batsmen seemed to be falling short before AB de Villiers read things to perfection,
scoring 47 off just 17 balls that included a 22-run over off Dale Steyn's bowling.
Tillakatatne Dilshan contributed earlier with 71 off 54 balls and the duo together
with Chris Gayle will be the major factor in spelling their batting success.
The bowlers have continually struggled though Muttiah Muralitharan was
economical on his comeback, replacing Daniel Vettori. Zaheer Khan's failure
to strike is worrying for the Challengers though.
The match will be played in Mumbai where the hosts can expect plenty of support.
The match gets underway at 8.00pm, half an hour after the scheduled toss. The
matches in Mumbai so far have been difficult for sides batting second.
