A month after these two teams played in the season's opening match, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will be in action once again on Sunday. Plenty has changed in the past one month, and these two teams look in reasonable position
to make it to the semi-finals.
Mumbai Indians scored a close one-run win over Pune Warriors on Thursday, taking
them into third place with 12 points so far, and six matches to play. The team
scored its second consecutive win and would like to carry its momentum going forward.

Sachin Tendulkar can be expected to be charged up for the crucial match against
a side that features plenty of his national teammates. Lasith Malinga
and Harbhajan Singh have been doing well with the ball, and they will lead the
bowling duties.
Richard Levi and James Franklin came through well when Mumbai played
Chennai in the first match of the season.
For the Chennai Super Kings, their 10-win win against Deccan Chargers
on Friday was a much-needed one. The win took them to 11 points from as many
matches, placing them in fourth position on the points table.
Faf du Plessis will again be their key bet with the bat as he looked confident
on his way to 42 the other night. In addition, contributions from Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni and Albie Morkel came in useful. The bowlers did
their bit in seizing control of the match in the middle overs while a stroke
of luck combined with excellent work in the field brought them wickets at crucial
moments.
Albie Morkel bowled well and will look to continue his form in the coming match.
The match, potentially a low-scoring one given the nature of the pitch, will be
played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with action getting underway at 4.00pm
local time.
