Another week starts in the Indian Premier League with the two sides in action on Monday being out of action for four to five days, a relatively longer period by the normal standards. Delhi Daredevils will face Mumbai Indians in Mumbai as both look to carry on their winning form.

Delhi Daredevils managed to rout champions Chennai Super Kings, by eight wickets, inside 14 overs last Tuesday. An excellent bowling performance never allowed the opposition to score freely while their own batsmen cut loose chasing a modest target. Kevin Pietersen and Virender Sehwag both possess the skill to strike big and score quickly as was witnessed in the last match. In addition, Irfan Pathan has been in good touch while Morne Morkel is their biggest weapon with the ball. The Daredevils seems to have settled down into a nice team combination that looks balanced and strong enough to earn them their third win.

Mumbai Indians have only looked forward since their shock defeat in the opening match. Currently on a three-match winning streak, Mumbai would like to keep the momentum going after a 27-run win against Rajasthan Royals. Kieron Pollard blasted his way to 64 runs off 33 balls while Ambati Rayudu also scored a quickfire 47. Pollard continued his dream night with a four-wicket haul as well. Munaf Patel also continues to pick up wickets with his seemingly innocuous medium pacers and Daredevils will be wary of taking him lightly. Lasith Malinga is yet another threat for the opposition as Mumbai Indians have plenty of options and depth in the bowling department. With the bat, their performances have fluctuated but as long as Pollard fires, anything can be expected.

The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, starting at 8.00pm local time in what is yet again expected to be a packed atmosphere.
