standings with 14 points from the nine games that they have played. Delhi, on

The Mumbai Indians will look to ensure that they can win this game,
for the sole reason that it s not enough for them to finish in the top four
only. It will make a lot of sense if they can end up in the top two positions
because of the new rules that allow teams finishing in the top positions with
a better chance of going through to the final. The Delhi Daredevils,
on the other hand, do not have to think about all these permutations and combinations
and just have to play to win the game.
The Mumbai Indians are being led by the great Sachin Tendulkar who also
held the Orange Cap so far. However, the problem with that is that he has batting
far too slowly in the tournament so far, which has meant that the pressure has
been on the middle order to do a job. They have done a good job so far, but
the question is whether the middle order can sustain the way they have been
playing so far and get the runs required to get going all the time.
The Delhi Daredevils will be a happier lot after the way their captain batted
in the previous game. Virender Sehwag was the star of the show with his
lusty hitting that won him a century, man of the match and the Orange Cap. His
century in the previous game against the Chargers came off 55 balls and was
easily one of the best innings in the history of IPL cricket. He took on the
bowling with ease and smashed his way to a match winning innings.
He now has 422 runs to Tendulkar's 351 and it will be a huge battle between the
two players.
Mumbai Indians had won the previous game between the two sides when they had bowled
Delhi out for 95.
