The Mumbai Indians will play the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 13th game of the
Indian Premier League this year. The game will be played at the newly
built Wankhede Stadium and will see this as the first home game for the
Mumbai Indians.
The Mumbai Indians have had an excellent start to their campaign. They
won their first two games in a row, having beaten the Delhi Daredevils in the
first game and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second one. What was interesting
to see was that in both the games, the win was convincing, as the side made
rapid incursions into the opposition.

Delhi were bowled for 95 by Lasith Malinga's ability to bowl those yorkers,
when he went on to take five wickets in the innings. This was followed by a
superb performance by the batting of Sachin Tendulkar and Ambati Rayadu
who ensured that the target of 140 was never going to be difficult despite the
tough track at the M Chinnaswamy in Bangalore.
On the other hand, Kochi have been rocked early. They took on the Royal Challengers
Bangalore in the first game and fought hard before AB de Villiers stole the
march from them. This was followed by the game against the Pune Warriors last
night when they had limped to sub-40 for 4 before the rescue act came from the
unlikely source - Brad Hodge and Ravindra Jadeja getting the runs. However,
this time it was the chance of Mohnish Mishra to steal the march from the Kochi Tuskers Kerala as he won them the game.
Mumbai will be hoping that they can play in the same manner as they have in the
tournament so far. The reason for this is that if they can win their third game
in a row, life will become easier for them and they would have brightened their
chances of making it through to the next round.
Having said that they will need to make changes to their line-up. Andrew Symonds has a very good chance of making it to the final eleven if he has
recovered from his injuries and he should replace James Franklin.
The Tuskers have gone unchanged in their first two games as well, however, with
the bowling looking so weak, RP Singh could be replaced. S Sreesanth could be
given another chance but will need to bowl with more discipline.
