 The match between Trinidad & Tobago and Mumbai Indians will be played
in Bangalore, September 26 at 20:00 IST or 14:30 GMT. It will be the first match
for T&T and the second match for Mumbai Indians after beating defending champion
Chennai Super kings in a classic match.
Mumbai Indians have started Champions League Twenty20 2011 with so many
injured players. They are now much weaker team than before. But still they managed
a win against Chennai Super Kings chasing a pretty high total 159 runs. Their
openers did a pretty handsome job but middle order batsmen all collapsed. Suman,
Rayudu and even Australian hard hitter Symonds were unable to contribute for
them.

But they got away with that because their main strike bowler Sri Lankan pace
man Lasith Malinga played an incredible innings not with ball but with
bat. Coming as a lower order batman when the game was out of their hand he scored
37 runs smashing only 18 balls. But everyday will not be a Sunday. Bowler Malinga
cannot be a hero with bat in every innings so, Mumbai Indians must think about
their batting once again though they really do not have too many options left.
Their opponent is a strong side they have already shown it. They have a good bowling
attack which they have proved their match against Leicestershire.
Mumbai have two aces like Malinga and Harbhajan Singh. They did not
do anything extra ordinary but they were not unsuccessful too. These two must
lead from the front in their match against T&T.
Other bowlers should try to assist them as much as possible to stop T&T.
For T&T this is the first match of the main phase. They have started their
tournament very well. They showed their great strength in the qualifying round.
They still have perfect record. Their main strength is their batting. This might
cause a real problem for Mumbai Indians as they will be missing bowlers like Zaheer khan and Munaf Patel.
T&T openers Simmons and Adrian Barath have already made a record
for scoring 139 runs in the opening partnership in their second qualifying match.
These two are in tremendous from so they will try to make everything difficult
for Mumbai bowlers as much as possible. Simmons have already expressed that
T&T could go all the way. In fact, T&T have prepared themselves very
well for the tournament and they are still doing hard work in the net to get
the maximum result.
T&T have stated the tournament as they wanted. It is now the clash of the
titans in the main phase where no team would give its opponent a bit of chance.
Despite of too many injuries both in batting and bowling departments Mumbai Indians have already shown that they are still in the tournament. So, it
will not be an easy job to stop Mumbai Indians though T&T have lot of confidence
in them.
