New South Wales Blues play Trinidad and Tobago in the finals of the Champions League T20 tournament. This will be played in Hyderabad. In the semi-finals,
the Trinidad and Tobago side had beaten the Cobras, whereas the New South Wales
Blues had made a mincemeat of their Australian counterparts, the Victorian Bushrangers.

The New South Wales side will know that despite all the high that they
will go into the game with, they had lost their only game to the same opposition
in the League stage. This may make them a little more cautious than earlier
and could mean that the pressure is actually on them. The problem that they
have on their shoulders is that they will depend on their openers a little too
much. And so far the opening pair of Phil Hughes and Dave Warner has
not disappointed. However, an early dismissal could end up being a cause for
concern which is why, they would know that it could very well be the middle
order batting that needs to fire for them to win the game.
The bowling for New South Wales is much more than decent. In fact, it will
be fair to say that it is the best in the competition, and that will mean that
the likes of Brett Lee, Doug Bollinger and Stuart Clark - not
to forget the spin of Nathan Hauritz - will be pitted against the best
batting side of the tournament Trinidad and Tobago! It should be one exciting
battle in the offing!
Trinidad and Tobago will look to make the most of their accelerating run that
they have had so far in the tournament. The Trinidad and Tobago batsmen have
all been murderous, and unlike the New South Wales Blues do not depend on one
batsman only. In fact each of the five games has seen a different top-scorer
and that has meant that the opposition bowlers will have to be on their toes
throughout the course of the innings.
The bowling of Trinidad and Tobago is something that they may want to worry
about, because they have conceded runs at regular intervals. While the spinners
have done a decent job, invariably the part-timers have conceded runs, and going
by their strategy to field first after winning the toss, it looks a trifle dangerous
given their opposition will look to pounce upon any weakness that could be shown.
Overall, it may be too difficult to call, but Trinidad and Tobago will be emotional
favourites for many a fan in Hyderabad!
