Pakistan will look to move one step closer to complete the
rout against Zimbabwe in the fourth one dayer to be played in Faisalabad
in three days time. The home side have an unassailable 3-0 lead and will not
like to throw away the initiative to a rather toothless Zimbabwe cricket team when they come up against their African rivals in three days time.

Pakistan made the series their name with a crushing thirty
seven run victory over Zimbabwe in the third one dayer in Peshawar on Sunday.
However, things looked very different early on when Pakistan were struggling
on the back of some excellent medium swing bowling by paceman Tawanda Mupariwa
who ripped apart the Pakistan top order with some controlled line and length
bowling. Mupariwa at once stage had figures of 4/25 as Pakistan were reeling
at five wickets down with less than a hundred on the board. However, Shahid
Afridi proved to be the difference between the two sides as he blitzed his way
to a quick eighty two. In the process he also smashed six sixes which enabled
him to equal Sanath Jayasurya's record of maximum number of one day sixes which
helped Pakistan pose a respectable score of 272 when at one stage it
seemed certain that they would have to be content with much less.
Zimbabwe in turn struggled with their reply and when Tatenda Taibu was dismissed
with the score just on fifty, it looked curtains for the African nation. However,
Brendon Taylor found an able ally in Stuart Williams as they began to stitch
back a torn Zimbabwe batting line up. The pair added 105 and for a moment, it
did appear that Zimbabwe would make a fight of it. However, the dismissal of
Taylor proved to be the final nail in the coffin as the Zimbabwe line up couldn't
cope up with some intense bowling by Sohail Tanvir and eventually fell short
by 37 runs. Zimbabwe have proved skeptics wrong by not getting routed in the
series, but they would be cursing themselves for their lack of application which
as helped Pakistan to a 3-0 lead when in all fairness the series has been much
closer.
