This Saturday will see Paraguay playing Spain in the quarter finals of the 2010
World Cup at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. We are now reaching the final
stages of the competition and it couldn't be any more exciting. Both of these
teams fought hard to make it this far but only one of them will be going on to
the semi-finals. You do not want to miss this game so make sure to join us here

Spain started off their World Cup in Group H where they won two games and lost
one; this was enough for them to qualify at the top of the group. In the final
sixteen they were up against their neighbours Portugal and this proved to be a
tough fight which they managed to win 1-0. Spain really feel that 2010
is the year when they leave with the silverware; they have never made it past
this next stage. Expect a spirited effort on from Spain as they go for their first
World Cup victory.
The final 16 encounter between Paraguay and Japan turned into a real tense affair
as it all went down to penalties; 0-0 at the final whistle. During the match it
was Japan who seemed the most likely to score, and they had the most attempts
at goal. Paraguay kept them at bay though are when it came to penalties
they managed to win 5-3. All teams would prefer to win without the need for penalties
but Paraguay will be delighted at having made it to the final eight. They now
know that they are only two games away from a possible World Cup.
The 2010 World Cup is living up to expectations and we still have some more great
