In the 62nd game of the Indian Premier League, the Pune Warriors India
will take on the Deccan Chargers at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The
Pune Warriors will be going into the game after having beaten the same opponents
in the previous game that they had played whereas the Deccan Chargers will also
be confident with the win over the Mumbai Indians.
It is an interestingly placed points table but the fact of the matter is that
the Pune Warriors India can get to only 14 points even if they will all
their remaining games. On the other hand, the Deccan Chargers are already out
of the tournament as they have eight points and have only two games remaining
- which means that they will look to ensure that they will only look to play
and get some wins to not finish last in the table.

The Deccan Chargers had an amazing win over Mumbai Indians. They had
looked lost throughout the game and at 112 in 19 overs without any wickets remaining,
their side would have probably been bowled out for 120. However, the problem
was that Amit Mishra smashed four boundaries off successive balls, getting
Deccan Chargers to 135 and followed it up with a superb bowling performance.
The side barely managed to get going and they were bowled out 10 runs short
of the target. The spinners had a ball of a time as they tied the Mumbai Indians
batsmen to knots and did not allow them to get going at all.
The Pune Warriors had a good couple of wins in their last two games. They did
a good job by winning against the Kings XI Punjab before Sourav Ganguly
turned on his magic to assist his side get to the target with his 32 not out.
What makes it better for the Pune Warriors is that they have the opening batsmen
who can give them a good start - Jesse Ryder can smash a few around the park whereas
Manish Pandey can bat through the innings. The worry for the side will be that
if Pandey and Ganguly bat together, there is a good chance that the run rate may
get slowed down and that may hurt the team's cause.
There is a good chance that the Chargers may go in with Dale Steyn.
