Like the Twenty20I series South Africa got a win in the second match of the series. South Africa won by 80 runs, but there is still one match to play to decide the winner of the ODI series between these two titans of Cricket. The deciding
third match will be played in October 28 in Durban at 12:30 GMT.
Batting first South Africa made a huge total of 303 runs for 6. Their four batsmen
Kallis, Miller, Smith and Duminy all contributed well, each of them scored half
century. In fact, no total is safe against the Australian side but they could
not even reach close to their target, they only managed 223 runs.

South African bowler Morkel got 4 wickets, Tsotsobe also bowled well, but their
main strike bowler Dale Steyn yet to deliver a lot of thing. He should
be trying a lot to deliver a lot more than the previous matches. Along with
him Proteus skipper Hashim Amla, who had a golden duck in the second
ODI also has to score some runs otherwise it could be difficult for them to
get a win against the tourists, who must be desperately trying to get a win.
In fact, this series has been a flop series for the Proteus skipper.
Australian side might miss their all rounder Shane Watson who has been
taken from the field while bowling in the second ODI due to hip injury. Former
skipper Ricky Ponting replaced Watson's batting position but could not score
enough. Former skipper Ponting and current skipper Michael Clarke both
were unable to score enough to challenge the hosts.
Their bowling also has been off colour as well. Both Bollinger and Mitchell Johnson have to bowl better than the previous match especially early in
the innings. Along these two experienced bowlers, new sensation teenager Cummins,
who just got his first bad bowling punishment in his very short career also
need to bowl better with his lightning quick speed.
There is no doubt that this deciding match would be a special match for both teams.
At the moment no team is favourite. A good day of any bowler or batsman could
make the difference, though these two teams mostly depend on team performance
rather than individual performance. It should be a thriller and fans all over
the world are eagerly waiting to witness it.
