 The match between South Australian Redbacks and Somerset CCC will be played
in Bengaluru, October 1 at 1600 IST or 1030 GMT. It will be the third match for
Redbacks and second match for Somerset CCC in the Champions League Twenty20
2011.
While everybody have been talking about big names like Chennai Super kings, Royal
Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Somerset CCC have shown that they
are still in the race with them.

They are still missing some of their key players but nobody can say it after watching
their performance. They played with great game plan both in the qualifying round
and in the first match of the main round against KKR. They beat Kolkata Knight
Riders twice in a row this will certainly give them a lot of boost.
So, when they meet Redbacks no doubt, they will be the favourite. T
heir batting and bowling both have been beyond everybody's expectation. South
African all rounder Roelot van der Merwe has been playing extra ordinarily throughout
the tournament. He has been successful both with ball and bat.
His team mate Trego also played a good innings against KKR. Their main power is
their team effort and it is more visible when they bowl. They do not have big
names like other teams but they still manage a win. It seems Merwe has been leading
from the front. If they do not make any big mistakes which are very unlikely from
them, they will surely give Redbacks a very tough challenge.
It will be the third match for Redbacks. So, they have more urgency than Somerset
to get a win. But it is not going to be easy they do know that very well. They
did play beyond even their expectation against KKR.
The result of that match will be a key factor for them though they got a humiliation
from the Warriors. But they have to forget the past and start everything from
the beginning if they want to be still in the race for the semi final spot.
Daniel Christian once again has to perform against Somerset CCC as he has been
their regular performer. They will be also looking to Callum Ferguson
who played an extra ordinary innings against KKR scoring 70 runs in T20 fashion.
Like Christian, Harris has been their regular performer when it comes to bowling.
He has already taken five wickets in two matches. Shaun Tait might be
sitting on the bench once again if Redbacks want to continue with their winning
combination.
Somerset CCC will be trying to secure their spot for the semi final as early
as possible by beating South Australian Redbacks. Redbacks will be trying
to stop the winning mission of their opponent but it will not be a certainly
an easy task as their opponent Somerset CCC seem more prepared than them.
