The series has been rain hit and people have been deprived from a lot of potentially
good quality cricket. The series so far has been disappointing in terms of results
but home fans would be happy because Sri Lanka have did dictate the Last
outing at Colombo (RPS).
In fact in the first Test, Sri Lanka weren't crushed or outplayed, they were
just below West Indies at the end of the Test. It can be said that so
far apart from Gayle's menace at Galle, Sri Lanka have faired well in the series.
There is still one Test to go which will determine which and if any team will
come out as winners. The potential series decider will be played in Pallekelle
from 1-5th December.

As all the teams have turned their attention to World Cup, Sri Lanka are not
an exception. It is understandable to rest your key players and focus on one
day format more than Test cricket. Weather has played a frustrating role in
the series so far.
There is no doubt that over head conditions would be on the back of Sangakarra's
mind. Sri Lanka dominated the Colombo Test with both bat and ball. They recovered
well from Gayle's destruction as their captain starred and lead from the front.
Sri Lanka are the favorites to win the final Test against this young new look
West Indian team.
West Indies have show patches from brilliance but Sri Lanka being the more
consistent team will have the upper hand in the third and final Test.
Sri Lanka have won one of last five Tests
West Indies came to Sri Lanka as underdogs, but they quickly got over that
labeled after pressing Sri Lanka at Galle. They were largely outplayed in the
second Test, but with occasional brilliance that Kemar Rooch, Darren Bravo and Chris Gayle have shown, West Indies would believe they have a shot at
the series.
Consistency is their biggest issue; they are a young and inexperienced team
so they can afford mistakes if they get to learn from them. Batting is expected
to be tougher at Pallekelle and Windies' batsmen would be under pressure to
perform. Their captain Darren Sammy has an ordinary series so far which
can never help if you are the captain of the side. Shane Shillingford
, the offspinner has been reported for suspect action and it is unclear if he
will play the final Test or not.
West Indies have won not won any of last five Tests.
