England will be looking to continue their recent away One Day international
form as they look to put one across new Zealand in the upcoming England
New Zealand one day series to played in across different venues this month.
England come into this series on the back of their first one day international
series success in the subcontinent against Sri Lanka in their last international
cricket outing and much will be expected from this young and talented English
outfit in the upcoming month.

England have dropped Matt Prior for this series in favour of young aspirant
Tim Ambrose. Prior paid the price for his dismal wicket keeping performances
of late and while his batting has been strong since being drafted into the squad
six months back, one dropped catch too many in the Sri lanka series meant that
Tim Ambrose boarded the flight down under instead of Prior. Andrew Flintoff
is a notable absentee from the England line up as the giant all rounder is currently
nursing a knee injury in America and the absence of Flintoff will be a big void
for this young English side to fill. Andrew Strauss returns back to the team
after an extended break and will be hoping to pile on the runs with upcoming
batting sensation Alistair Cook. England have won their last away one day serieses
against Australia and Sri lanka and while their performances in big tournaments
still remains dodgy , their recent performances would have filled Paul Collingwood
and his men with hopes of overcoming New Zealand
New Zealand will have to make do for this series without the services of quickie
Shane Bond. Bond has been suspended indefinitely by the New Zealand cricket
board for his involvement in the Indian Cricket league and this would come as
a big blow to the New Zealand pace attack heavily reliant on Bond's leadership.
Tim Southee is expected to make his debut for New Zealand in this series in
place of Shane band. The 19 year old seamer is though of as the next big thing
in New Zealand cricket and will be hoping to make a lasting impression with
some early inroads into a strong England batting line up.
On the batting front, there are no major changes and much of New Zealand's fortunes
in this series will depend on the form of young stroke makers in Ross Taylor
and Jamie How. New Zealand struggled in their last series away to South Africa
and Daniel Vettori will be hoping that things take a different turn this time
around at home against an inform England One day International outfit.
