Victoria will play Wayamba in the last game of their group at the Feroz Shah Kotla
on Tuesday. Victoria has already won their first game against Delhi, whereas The
Wayamba Elevens Tobago were badly beaten by the Delhi Daredevils in their
first game. A win for Victorian Bushrangers in this game will send them
to the second stage with full points. However, if Wayamba win this match, then
it will be a three-way tie between Wayamba, Delhi and Victoria and it will boil
down to the net run-rates.

At this current moment, Delhi has a net run rate of 0.7, whereas Victoria is
at 1.1. Wayamba is struggling with their net run rate situation with an NRR
of -2.5; which means that even if Wayamba wins the game, they will need to ensure
that the win is a huge one in order to get their run-rates above at least one
of the two other sides.
Victoria has looked very good in the tournament so far. Although their pace
bowling attack is not very strong, it is their spinners in Brad Hodge,
David Hussey and Cameron White apart from the frontline bowlers in Bryce McGain and Jon Holland who will be able to do a job. It also depends on
whether the pitch continues to play the manner in which it has so far or offers
a little more assistance to the batsmen in terms of the bounce and pace that
will decide on which of the bowlers will be the ones ruling the roost.
The batsmen will obviously be the ones to look out for. The Victorians have
a batting line-up that has made life miserable for many a bowler around the
world. Cameron White has one of the best strike-rates in the format,
whereas Hodge is one of the most prolific scorers in the all three formats of
the game making it one of the best batting line-ups in the world.
For the Wayamba line-up, their bowling was a major let-down in the previous
game. Apart from Chanaka Welegedara, there weren't too many bowlers who
made the ball talk, whereas Ajantha Mendis did pick up a couple of wickets,
but he was very costly at 35 runs conceded off his four overs. There is a good
chance that Rangana Herath will make it to the side for the next game, in place
of one of the spinners, making it difficult for Kaushal Lokukarachi who went
for 31 in his four overs.
All in all, it almost seems like the Wayamba will struggle to hold their own
against Victoria.
